GOALS

UCAIR provides the infrastructure and space to complete our stated missions:

To Foster Medical Imaging Research in Radiology
To Support University-Wide Life Science Imaging
To Educate Students at all Levels in the Science of Radiological Imaging
In each area of research, working groups have been formed from collaborators and interested faculty throughout the campus. These groups have the critical mass to establish and retain peer-review-funded research projects. UCAIR faculty provide expertise in physics, in the mathematics of imaging and image processing, and in clinical imaging procedures.

UCAIR infrastructure provides study coordination, and oversight for all imaging studies, as well as computer support for image management and networking.

UCAIR sponsors seminars, journal clubs and symposia designed to foster internal collaborations and communication. UCAIR also provides courses and electronic education support for the University.
