Title: GATE: Geant Application for Tomographic Emission

GATE is a Monte Carlo simulation package based on GEANT designed for use with PET, SPECT, and other nuclear medicine applications. Established in 2001 by the international OpenGATE collaboration, GATE provides an easy to use interface and well validated simulation tool built upon the very well established GEANT application. We have recently installed GATE on our local workstations, and this resource is now available to all interested UCAIR members. In this presentation, I will present a brief overview of GATE and describe a few of its main features that may be of interested to UCAIR personnel.
